Importing Pivot Point with OBJ from Hexagon to Daz3.1?

I've started experimenting with Hexagon and I've discovered that when I import the OBJ file I created from Hexagon into Daz3.1 the pivot point is miles south of where the object I created appears. Which makes it impossible to adjust the piece to fit the person. Is there anyway to fix this? I've tried searching the forums but most of the topics on this either relate to Daz4 and it's Joint Editor feature or are lost to the now apparently defunct forumarchives. :(

The Axis from Hex is directly related to the Ground plane center in Hex. That should not matter when doing a Transfer/Fit to the mesh the item was created for if it was loaded into hex as the reference to create the new object.
I confess that, being new to this, I didn't understand everything you just said :red: but the last part about an item being loaded into hex as a reference to create the new object rings true. I was making a wrist bracelet so I imported a Michael 4 model into hex so that I had a starting point for his wrist. So if that's the cause then what is the solution? Because I can't imagine how difficult it would be to create any piece of wardrobe without a model there to hang it on.
First off was the M4 in the default T pose? If not it should have been. But I'm not versed in the creating Content for the Gen4 models. I believe the item will need to be turned into a pz2 prop and then smart propped to the M4. Thats a different kettle of fish than doing content for genesis.
Once you have your item ready for export from Hex center it in the HEX viewport with the item center dead center of the Hex ground grid, both above and below it. That will then save into the Mesh as its default center when imported into DAZ Studio.
Yup. :-)
But if I move it away from it's original position then won't it import into Daz completely off target from where I want it to go? Specifically M4's wrist.
As a prop for Gen4 M4 it will not matter Once you do a parent to M4's wrist and then Save as a Smart Prop it will load to his wrist everytime no matter the Pose on M4. The Item will still need a Poser prop format I think.
How does one save an OBJ as a smart prop? I see that you mention parenting the OBJ and I know that's a feature of Daz so I assume that saving it as a smart prop is also something that is done in Daz?
