Batch rendering 32 images. What render settings would you choose?

So I have set up 32 renders. No background, only our character with studio lights and black background. I am using sometimes more, sometimes less depth of field, but always a bit. The lights are red/blue colored. I set up the render yesterday in the evening. Iterations 15000, time 3600sec = 1hour, quality control = off.
I am noticing that there are images that could have been processed faster and others, with more depth of field or extreme lighting, which would need longer. How would you have approached this task?
- Given the fact that you want to render in total a maximum 32 hours? For example, would it be better next time to set the iterations to 6000 and render time to 2 hours?
- Would you deactivate or activate render quality and ratio?
- What about the post denoiser option? I have heard that it does more hard than good for still images (I tested it for animations and like it a lot there)

There's always a degree of trial and error involved in setting the maximum number of iterations.
As for the AI denoiser, I use it extensively for stills renders. I find, however, that it's a good idea to do several hundred iterations before you let it kick in otherwise it will destroy detail and produce plastic-looking skin in particular.

Alex.
I usually set the maximum interations to 350 and then set the denoiser to kick in at about 300 iteterations. For most of the scenes I render, this produces acceptable results - by my definition of acceptable. Some scenes (Strangefate's medieval fantasy bedroom, for example) will require require well over 1000 iterations before the denoiser runs.
Cheers,
Alex.
