Rotating Objects in Scene

The other day I went to rotate a G8 figure and instead of rotating around the center of the body, its rotational center was several feet away.  So, instead of the figure turning, it moved in an arc off the screen.

My questions are...

1) how dod this happen?  (i.e. was it a clothing item I added that changed the y-axis center?)

2) how do I fix it and return to the default rotational axis?

You probably moved the hip bone away from the base center point instead of moving the base of the figure. Reset the figure pose and the hip should snap back to the center, then you can re-apply whatever pose. When translating a figure, make sure you have the base, and not the hip (any other joint would twist and turn it, but the hip won't)

Hmmm... I would have never thought that possible, but it makes sense.  I'll have to see if that scene still does that and give that a try.

    Thanks!
