Pterodactyl, Pteranodon & Other Flying 'Dinosaurs'

some imsginiative evolution from terror birds to modern birds
Pteranodon, discovered in 1876 by Othniel C. Marsh, was much bigger. It had a wingspan that ranged from 9 to 20 feet
One of the largest pterosaurs is believed to be Quetzalcoatlus northropi, whose wingspan reached 36 feet (11 m), according to the 2010 PLOS ONE article.

All work fine in DS
Got you covered.
LMAO!
<snrk> Thanks, now I have a mental image of those teensy little wingies buzzing like a hummingbird.
I have my fingers crossed that HH or somebody will do a more cutting edge set of pterosaurs. I enjoy DR's work a lot, but some of it is starting to age a bit.
very true, but at least I can have several in a scene and still have room in my memory to add figures and other odds and ends and still be able to render. In all fairness, HH has gotten better at optimizing his work.
Oh, I found NGS Anagenesis worked rather well in sprucing up an Ichthyosaur. That's another option.
I've been thinking of purchasing Anagenesis, especially for Digital I's dinosaurs, Codeman Studio's Dimetrodon, and the Daz3d Protoceratops so they don't look like plastic toys next to HH's dinos.
I was never impressed with what it did for figures, but it's not to bad with dinos and props. I still think the best bet is creating your own normal and specular maps which is what I did here for the utahraptorDR
good bump maps are stupid easy.
Color to Grey might as well be called "Make Bump Map" IMHO
These are useful
