Multi Selection Hide

Is there a way to hide multiple objects from the Scene pane in one click?

I had to hide an arm on a figure that was in the way of a scene, but to do this I had to expand and click the "eye" next to each and every element in the arm, from the shoulder all the way down to the digits on the fingers. That was a lot of clicking. I did not see a way to hide all elements from the shoulder down, even when selecting all items.

If anyone knows how to do this I would love to know.

In 4.12, you can, if I remember correctly, ctrl+click on the eye for one item to hide/unhide all its child items. For non-parented items, or for earlier versions of DS, a less elegant way to do this is to select the items in the scene view, then select-all in the parameters pane, then click "off" for visibility.

I have 4.12 so I will try that. Thank you Gordig!
