Upgrade to 4.12 and nothing works

10 days ago I upgrade my Daz poser 4.10 to suggested upgrade 4.12 and it completely down. Nothing works. My Daz 4.10 program worked great near perfect and then after loading 4.12 I can't load any props, characters, environments or figures. I waiting now 10 days to get answer from Daz tech support and nothing from them.
Tried to unload and reload programs three times and no change. Please anybody suggest what I maybe doing wrong? Thank you, Bill K

Did you change your data directories in 4.10? Did you make sure to point 4.12 to the same place(s)?
What do you mean by "nothing works"? You can't find your content in the library? You can find it but you get errors when you load it? Something else?
Make screen shots of you trying to load props, characters, environments in DAZ Studio.
The props, environments and figures load into my content library and Smart content and when I load them onto viewpoint they stay until I cursor touches viewpoint and it instantly gone and it's as if I log out of Daz.
I can load Sets and saved files scenes and they stay but as soon as I add actor or props to them it instanly gone and I'm log out of Daz.
When I said "nothing works" I meant I can't get program to work at all. Everytime I load any environment by it's self it just disappears as soon as I cursor touches viewpoint screen.
I sure there something wrong with my Daz 4.12 I loaded but don't know what it is. My Daz 4.10 worked great with no problems and soon as I upgraded loaded Daz 4.12 I started having all these problems.

The more I been trying different things to get my 4.12 to work the more I think it's my computer may not support 4.12 so my second question is how do I reload Daz 4.9 or 4.10.
I'm not sure I can but the Daz 4.10 Zip execute files are is still in my PC download files so give it a try. Please Any suggestion as to how to replace Daz 4.12 with my Daz 4.10. Bill K.
You can't re-download older versions, only the latest ones are available. However if you still have the download files you can simply reinstall it.
If you don't have them try opening a support ticket.
mine is saying Resource Error
Resource Error what is this. when I open Daz it sayz Resource Error,I have waited 10 days to get answer from Daz tech support and nothing from them
When does it say resource error? A screen shot of the message might help.
This is on a laptop? Almost anything could be the issue then. Are you sure you have room on the drive(s) for the program and your assets? How long have you waited after launching DS to give up waiting for it to make assets available? Did you get the final batch of Win 7 updates when they came out?
You should be able to take a screen-shot, at any time, by hitting the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard, if you have one. It will save the snapshot in your clip-board, which you can simply "Paste" (CTRL+V) into any art/paint program. (If that request was causing some confusion of how to get a snapshot. It isn't a commonly know feature of windows. Though it has existed since windows 95.)
I would first simply try to uninstall Daz, then reinstall it again. There may be something lingering from the prior version or installs, which may have hindered this update or operation. If it doesn't fix the issue, then you should start looking beyond that starting point. If it isn't just the actual OS itself, being "out of date", which it is.
Microsoft ended mainstream support for Windows 7 on January 13, 2015 and extended support ended on January 14, 2020. You should not expect that ANY software past that point, to honestly function as you expect it to function. Daz depends on other programs to ALSO assist with the operation of Daz3D itself. A database program, your display drivers, the OS itself, etc...

It will be difficult to get any programs "Latest version", to run on windows 7, when the "Latest version" of windows that they expect, in most cases, is windows 10, and it is essentially free to use. (The program does not stop working after the time period. It just nags you to get it "officially registered", by purchasing a license, and it then locks-out some non-critical desktop customization options, until you purchase a license.)
However, I would also suspect that something got corrupted in the update from 4.10 to 4.12, along the way. Or there is some kind of "script" which may be causing issues, intended for an older version of Daz, which you have installed, or not installed correctly for 4.12. If not also possibly a video-driver issue. Having windows 7, I am 100% sure that you don't have a 2080-Ti, as those cards require a minimum of windows 10 to run. But I am not sure what card you have, or if you are using an on-board or CPU/GPU (APU) display.
At the least, you should have been on windows 8.1 by now. It is almost literally just windows 7, with updated everything. (After windows 8 essentially failed, they instantly updated it 8.1, to mimic the function of windows 7, instead of focusing on the "Metro" page as the whole UI. Windows 10 did something similar. It looks and functions almost exactly like windows 7, with a simple option change for the desktop.)
If you NEED windows 7 for some specific reason, you can keep that version too. But you should not be updating software on it, to "latest versions". Sticking with the versions you have, which are intended for that version of windows. Those same programs will work in windows 10, if you simply select the correct version compatability, but will have the latest security features that the older OS can't offer. (Most notably the built-in security related to 64-bit and obvious 64-bit operations.)
I personally use a LOT of old software and have never even had to force anything to run in compatability mode. But, I do have one program that does work better in compatability mode. (The price for that mode is speed loss, so I don't use it.)
I should update my MS windows software for sure. The only reason I kept windows 7 is laziness and it didn't effect what I was doing on my PC.which is 2 GB 3 in 1 until maybe now.
My computer should be able to handle 4.12 but maybe the windows 7 has something to do with my problem. Anyways I given up trying uninstall and reinstall over over again.
It doesn't help that never get a error code message or any indication why my figures, props and environments from Smart content and Content library that not scenes and sets just instantly disappear when I touch screen with cursor and I'm out of Daz program.
I notice that the 4.12 file is more then twice as large as the 4.10 and there a new Drawing and Simulation settings which no idea what they do. Haven't had the change to try them out.
Then the Timeline is much more elaborate too.
Bottom line I have no idea why 4.12 is doing whats it doing other then the file much larger then the 4.10.
I'm still waiting on reply from Daz tech support now pass 10 days which is never been this long from getting a reply from them.

Draw settings and Simulation settings panes were in 4.10. Are you sure you upgraded from 4.10? Is it possible you were on a much older version?
My Bad! I believe you're right Drawing and Simulation settings were in 4.10 and I never used them. I differently had 4.10 and I saw tech on 4.12 that makes me believe it's may not work right on some PCs.
I'm going upgrade MS windows soon but I can't see how that effects my Daz problem.

Will I finally download MS windows 4.10 and now I have a totally different problem.
No smart content and no content library. No nothing but the Daz program.
logging on it says Resource Error
A valid PostgreSQL connection could not be established.
It further says there is no content files are available, which why I have none.
I'll Check network, anti virus and firewalls settings for conflicts as Daz instructs to do, but in mean time how do I get a valid PostgreSQL connection established? Lost Bill K.
Is PostgreSQL installed? As for missign content, is the exsting content in its default location and if not have you chnaged the content directory settings in DS and DIM to match?
