Scene doing wierd things??

I am using Willow Creek from Stonemason.  I don't really think its something with the scene though because I have used it before with no trouble.  Tonight for some reason my cameras keep going wonky and I have to reset them.  And im using the Hivewire3D Horse from Poser, which I have used before with no problem, but for some reason the horse keeps getting broken like the back will have a big hump in it and the legs at the joints will not be lined up.  I should have caught a screen shot but for now I have deleted the horse from the scene.  Also the back of the horse looks like I applied a metal texture and its the default texture that comes with the horse, even after I apply the uber surface shader.  Will try to grab a screen when I re-add the horse.

Are you using Poser or DS, the Hivewire Horse comes in a DS version for DS and a poser version for Poser. If you are using the version that comes packed with Poser it won't work in DS correctly.

Hmm maybe im using the wrong one but I have used it before with no issues.  The deformations happen if I close out (in this case crashing with Scene Optimizer) and reopen the file.  For some reason Scene Optimizer is crashing when I try to close it after it runs there are no errors listed in the log or the error log that the program generates.   There are a bunch of errors in the log file after opening the scene file.  Im almost at the point of scraping the whole thing but ive been building this scene for two days trying to get the dforce right and pose right.....

  • That is some serious issues with the geometry.

Delete that scene. It could be corrupt. Add the horse to a new scene and see if the issue persists.

If it does uninstall and reinstall scene optimizer. If that doesn't fix the issue do the same with the horse.

Thanks kenshaw011267. This unfortunately is what I was afraid of. Need to figure out how to save my dforced things so I dont have to go through all that again.

I'm not aware that you can. Sorry. At least yours loads. The last corrupt scene I had just crashed DS.

Im embarrassed to say this but it was the horse.  Although if you add it in its fine but once you save it it goes all wonky.  But because the scene took me so long to do with all the issues I ended up buying the Daz Horse and using it. I opened my other scene that used the horse and it had done the same thing after saving.  And I guess Scene Optimizer didnt like the horse at all and was crashing on trying to process its materials.
