How do I set up smart content for DS4.6? I want to make smart content for the content I have collected from non-daz3d stores.

Also is it possible to save autofitted clothing or hair in Smart content for easy finding?

You will need to create the Metadata files for all the content you wish to be smart. Then it will be smart. There is a good tutorial in the commons if you can find it. It will be buried I think.

Slosh, here in the forums, has a video tutorial on YouTube on adding metadata to items: Adding MetaData in DAZ Studio 4.6

There is also tutorial in the Daz3D Documentation Center: Adding Metadata to Products

When saving autofitted clothing and hair, be sure to use File> Save As> Support Asset. Select an asset type and give a folder location and file name. On the "Figure/Prop Assets Save Options" window, make sure the Metadata: section is populated. These four options are required to give your new asset "Smarts". I've found most items will default everything except for Set Category. If you fail to assign a Category, your asset will show up in the Default>Unassigned group on the Smart Content Tab.

If you watch Slosh's video or view the Daz3D tutorial, you gain insight what the four options represent.

Thanks I will look at the tutorials tomorrow. I am supposed to be in bed in about half an hour and I have not brushed my teeth yet.
