hi all.
2 questions:
Daz studio 4.10 and iRay technology is compatible with GTX only? (or RTX also?)
Daz studio 4.12 work good with RTX? (it work with GTX and iRay?)
i would like to change my pc, but i don't know if to buy a GTX (1660Ti) or RTX (2060) card.
if you don't understand, i write in italian e you translate with google :D
thank you

RTX is actually better than GTX, though both are supported - GTX has to use an extra chunk of code to mimic the RTX features, which increases memory use.
To be clear: 4.10 supports RTX?
You render render with a RTX card in 4.10, but you have benefit of the RTX acceleration.
Actually I thought 4.11 was the first to support the 20x0 cards, but certainly 4.10 would take advantage of the RTX features.
20x0 cards don't work in 4.10, only in 4.11 and later.
perfect, then recapitulating.
RTX only works with 4.11 and later
GTX works with 4.10 and later
Correct?
so if I install 4.12 (at the moment I only have version 4.10) will my GTX 750 Ti still work?
When I buy the new PC with the RTX 2060 (or 2070, I have yet to decide) I will have no problems.
Another question:
can you give me a link to a guide to save me and then restore my personal categories in daz studio?
I'm afraid that when I change PC, all the work of categorizing according to my logic, will be lost.
PS: I used goole translate to write all this. I hope google has worked well.

No, 20x0 cards (and the 16x0 too) require Ds 4.11+, regardless of whether or not they are RTX. The RTX features are fully supported in 4.12+ (before that the cards worked, but did not take advantage of the RTX element).
That was my understanding. Richard's comment—at least as I read it—seemed to suggest that RTX was better in both 4.10 and 4.12.
Assuming you're running 4.12.x on your new PC, you "should"—at least in theory—not have problems (although there are plenty of threads started by people running 4.12.x who do, or have had, problems rendering on RTX cards.)
oh yes sorry. I was off by one
