I can't install in OS X Catalina ***Solved***

I recently wiped my computer. Now I'm reinstalling all my software. I can't install DIM on my Mac (OSX Catalina). I tried to get the DAZ Studio Beta, but it requires DIM to install.
What is the problem? Catalina has been around a few months. Why don't we have working versions of our software?!

Many software publishers didn't update their products for Catalina yet.
The 9th generation will probably bring a new version of Daz Studio.
DAZ Studio is the flagship product of DAZ3D. I'd thought this problem would have inspired someone to find a solution, or at least make an announcement to reassure customers.
When it tries to install, go to your mac's System Preferences > Security > unclick the lock (requires your password) and click the button that allows you to install DIM on your computer.
nemesis10 thanks for your response. Thanks. I finally got it to work. It took a few tries before I found that option. Not sure why.
Apple has implemented a system so that if the application is in their App Store (vetted as safe), you can just install but if it isn't in the App Store, you have to allow it through the Security panel to verify that you are intentionally installing it. It is a way to thwart Trojan Horses.
nemesis10, yeah I know about that. I've actually gone through that procedure with many other apps. Let's just say I was having a rough day, and for some reason my mind got scrambled on this particular issue.
BS doesn't install on Mojave or Catalina have a zillion dollars in comtent and am s c r e w e d
checked the allow from anywhere. ...
The application “DAZStudio_4.12.0.86_Mac64” can’t be opened.
The application “DAZ3DIM_1.4.0.17_Mac64” can’t be opened.
if the security sys pref panel doesn,t display "anywhere" as an option, you have to open terminal (apps/utilities/terminal)
type
sudo spctl --master-disable
enter your system password at the next prompt.
reopen the security panel and do the lock/unlock thing and select the anywhere option...
then try and install... then once you've given up in frustration...
go back to the terminal and close things back off with
sudo spctl --master-enable
so...

Okay... At least in this instance it was the stuffit expander that was breaking the works
I tied WinZip to expand the zip file and then the installer worked.
SO DISREGARD THE THREE PREVIOUS RANTING POSTS!!!!!

This is old news. Problem solved. I don't even have a Mac any more. Let this thread die, please?!
