Rendered all night only to wake up and find this had happened halfway through. I use "texture shaded" in the viewpoint so I didn't see it when checking b4 bed.
2min video of 4 sequential frames here. https://youtu.be/bSP9Y4FC2Lw
Images attached. I'm stuck until I figure out what happened so I can finish this render and get on with the next. Anyone have an idea?
And BAD!
I've seen that ik chains in 4.12 may cause explosions during animation if they're not properly setup. Also dforce can cause explosions. In your example the explosion seems very limited though. It may be a little dforce explosion due to the armpits intersecting geometry in that specific pose. One way to avoid it is to map out dforce from the armpits area, though this should be done by the PA if the asset is designed correctly.
If it's not dforce then I've no clue.
Hey Padone, thanks for your help. I've only been doing this for four months so I'm confused about "One way to avoid it is to map out dforce from the armpits area,".
Could you point to an article on "mapping" dforce, please? I've done some searching, but it is a huge area to try to make sense of. Any links would be a big help.
Thanks, mate!
not sure dforce is your issue though it's just a guess, but learning to map it is always useful
the smoothing can do that, I often turn it off if the clothes fits without it
@Wendylovescats Thanks for your help again, but there's no smoothing on this guy's clothes - they are all G8. I appreciate the suggestion for future issues, though.
@Padone I'm off to study... I hope that fixes my issue - if not, I guess I can always delete this guy and replace him (he doesn't move much until the end of the dialogue) AND at least I'll know more and more about Daz!
Thanks, guys I really appreciate all the help.
