Translation parameters missing from child figure

Hi all,

I need help with the following problem (I have attached two images to try to illustrate what's going on):

In my Scene there's a figure named "Button" which is made up of a cube (named "Cube") for the base, and a cylinder (named "Cylinder") for the actual button.

The cube is the cylinder's parent, so that I can move the base and the button at the same time, but I would like to be able to "press" the button, i.e. have it move up and down relative to the base.

The problem is that when I want to edit the button's parameters, I can only see Rotation and Scale. The Translation parameter is missing... and it's driving me insane!

How can I make the Translation parameter appear in the list of parameters for the button?

Any help is much appreciated!

  • In the Parameter pane option menu (the lined button in the top corner, or right-click the tab) enable Show Hidden and then you can find the translations sliders, click the gear icon on the slider and select Parameter Settings, and turn off Hidden.

  • Thank you so much! That solved the problem! yes
