Are third party plugins safe to run (not talking about script)?

I was wondering if third party plugins like Diffeomorphic or DazToBlender8 are safe to use. Here I'm concerned about malicious code, since some plugins for example requires auto executing in blender.

 

Just to be clear I don't suspect that these plugins are doing something "evil".

 

How do you guys approch third party plugins?
