What? No Render?

I just updated Daz to 4.12 and experiencing a new issue with renders. Does not capture assets; the render runs for 9 - 11 seconds, produces either a totally transparent image or totally black. Tried with an old scene and by building a new one with different assets. Same result. No error message. Has anyone seen this? Suggestions?

It sounds liek lack of light, but ... whcih render engine: Iray or 3Delight? What lighting settings are in place? Is it a closed (indoor) scene? And some more pertinent questions which elude me for a bit ..![cheeky cheeky](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/tongue_smile.png)
What is your driver version,. assuming you have an nVidia GPU?
I had a problem with 4.12 and couldn't even get to the point of a render, however, I don't have the nVidia GPU on the computer I was using. Wondering if
that is your problem as wel. I went back to 4.11 and now the Iray render engine is missing. Hmmm.
You are using the 64 bit version?
@mnh_a27e96609b – Try this: close any open render windows, change any iRay Preview viewports to texture shaded, then go to the Advanced tab of the Render pane and uncheck the "CPU" box if it's checked (so you're rendering GPU-only), or check it if it's unchecked (so you're rendering GPU+CPU), and try the render again. If the scene renders, you're running into a known issue that's probably related to how iRay caches data.
@mclaugh - thank you!! Changing the CPU setting on the Advanced tab did the trick. :-D
Thanks to all who replied - I appreciate the assistance. Peace!
