Adding "Expressions" to the Morphing Python's face?

I realize there aren't any morphs that allow the "morphing python" to express emotion (anger, sadness, joy, etc.), but would it be possible to modify the shape of the head, outside of the regular morphs included, to give the python some forms of expression? I've been trying to use d-forms, but I'm still very new to them and haven't been getting the best results. Any tips? Alternative solutions?

*EDIT: Also the picture attached is the morphing pyton's model with no texture, for those of you who don't know. I'm hoping that providing this pic will help people understand what I'm working with here.
