This is a promo pic from https://www.daz3d.com/palmira-for-genesis-3-and-8-female.   The artist only listed Linda Ponytail as used in the promo but it does not appear to be this hair.

Thanks

Is it not just the bonus texture with hair advertised in the "What's Included and Features" section?

    • Bonus: Full Skin Preset with hair-on-texture
    • Bonus: 10 Make-up Options with hair-on-texture

Oh, thank you for the reply.  I don't own the character so I didn't know it's just a make-up.  Does this mean even had I purchased Palmira I still won't be able to apply the same hair to other characters?

I think I've seen similar hair in promos of other characters before.  Are they all make-up?

Sometimes it's painted directly on the texture, like makeup. Other times, they could be using some random hair but will all the other parts invisible/0% opacity except for the scalp.

It used to be quite common to have painted-on hair like that (back in the Vicki-4 / Mike-4 days) It's quite useful for fitting hats or other headgear as you don't get poke-through. However it generally lacks realism as hair.

No you would not be able to use it easily on another character (though you could load Palmira's skin textures onto any G8F but of course it would look different to their normal skin)

    Thanks again for the explainations.

Are there hairs, or skullcaps with similar look?  Or a standalone make-up that I can use on any G8F?  The updo or ponytail hairs I've seen just don't have this sleek close-to-the-skin look I am looking for.
