Hiding a group no longer hides all the contents of group.

I noticed that in the latest beta of 4.12, when I hide a group, only some of that group's contents got hidden.
This hurts me because I used to put things into groups primarily to allow me to hide all those things together with one mouse click.
Is there some other way to hide groups of things, now that the regular grouping feature no longer allows it?

As you are using the beta can you report your findings to Tech Support, so it can be investigated. Thank You
Can ypou give an example, or is this a random thing that soemtimes works and soemtimes doesn't? The latest Public Build (Beta) does have options for hiding nodes and their children via a modifier-click on the eye icon in the Scene pane.
I cannot reliably produce the error. It appears to be intermittent.
I ran the test procedure below.
The first time I ran it, I got the error. The second time I ran it, I did not get the error.
This is 4.12.1.55 Pro Edition (64 Bit) Public Build
Here is the test procedure:
Create 2 sphere primitives, 1m diameter, 30 segments by 30 sides.
Separate them by X-Translating Sphere to -50 and Sphere (2) to 50.
Parent Sphere (2) to Sphere.
Hiding Sphere will not hide Sphere (2) – as it should be.
Select Sphere and create Group.
Hiding Group will now hide both Spheres – as it should.
Save the file.
Merge the file into itself.
Now Group (2) appears.
Z-Translate Group (2) back behind Group so it can be seen distinctly.
Hide Group (2).
This is where the error will happen, if it happens. And the error is this: Only the parent Sphere in group (2) vanishes.
