LIE BODY SCARS for Genesis 3 & 8 Male(s)
![MoonLit](https://farnsworth-prod.uc.r.appspot.com/forums/uploads/userpics/398/nU1HVRIJWPRYI.png)
I currently bought this last night. Downloaded and installed it but when I searched in daz for it, it can't be found. So I uninstalled it and re-installed and the same thing happened. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
Thanks

Don't have the product, but I do have the wound kit, which resides in my Material folder in the Content Library. So perhaps it is not in the People folder?
How did you install?
hi @msagentblack,
If you've installed via DIM or via connect, you'll find the content in your Smart Content tab under:
If you installed manually, you should find the product inside your Content Library:
Hello Fenix,
I did everything that was suggested to me but I still am having no luck in finding your content under my Daz folders. :(
Ok, we can figure this out! How did you installed it?
Also, try this, in the search bar type: BSM > that should show the presets if they've been installed. If they don't show up, then for some reason the product isn't installing correctly. If they do show up, left-click on one of the preset and go to > Show Assets In... > Smart Content Product.
I hate to correct the PA, but ...
Via Smart Content it is> Materials> Iray> Masculaine> LIE BODY SCARS for Genesis 3 & 8 Male(s)
Via Content Library it is: People> Genesis 8 Male> Materials> FenixPhoenix
Installed via DIM
@SimonJM, yes that is correct and what I typed before. ;)
Not exactly - with Content Library there is NO LIE BODY SCARS sub-directory, I have 'just' BodyBruises, Body Scars, Face Bruises, Face Scares P1, Face Scars P2, Face Wounds under FenixPhoenix
Ah, interesting. The manual install does add the subdirectory. So if you install via DIM, are the presets just inside the "FenixPhoenix" folder but not within their own separate folder? (Because if so, I will probably submit or ask for a fix to keep things more orderly).
Update: Ok, so I downloaded on a fresh computer via DIM and the scars in Content Library are showing inside their subdirectory (as they should). Meaning: People > Genesis 8 Male > Materials > FenixPhoenix > LIE Body Scars > Step 01 & Step 02
So I'm not sure why yours installed differently, @SimonJM.
Here's what I have (just the G8 variant) ...
via Content Library (My Library\People\Genesis 8 Male\Materials\):
via Smart Content (Products):
Ok, yes, that's what I have as well (the product with it's own subdirectory) and how it has been set up. Just as Body Scars (without the LIE to keep it shorter).
I worked as a Unix SysProg, so am very pedantic about directory names! But, hopefully, more of use to @msagentblack
We understand (and thanks for purchasing our products, btw). We simply figured that using the product name in the smart content sub-director might've been way too long and those with smaller monitors wouldn't have appreciated that. So we opted to just keep it as short as possible. Of course, you can re-name it so it fits the name exactly since it won't affect how the product works. ;)
And I agree that hopefully, this will help @msagentblack find the product.
Thank you for taking the time to help me with this issue. I did find your files @ Via Smart Content it is> Materials> Iray> Masculaine> LIE BODY SCARS for Genesis 3 & 8 Male(s)
However, I am running into a different problem, to which I will show you. There are certain angles of the camera that I can't use due to discolouration on the chest/shoulder area that these scars are leaving. Is there any way I can fix this? Again, thank you.
Attaching four files to this message.
Yeah, I think they've gone. They probably found it after posting and didn't bother comging back. It was just you two having fun. ;)
Are you using 3rd party genitals by chance? Or anything else that uses a geoshell? I have had that issue before with geoshell products.
No, I am not. :(
That's is indeed strange, @msagentblack, but we can figure this out. Could you post a screenshot of your torso settings?
Also, is the tattoo a LIE as well? And if so, could you try the scars without the tattoo to see if it changes anything?
:) oh, I was wrong. :)
Nice promos. they look great!
Ok, so I just had this come up in PASS with a new set of scars I'm currently working on. So I thought I'd dig this thread up and offer the solution. If you're getting the results like the OP, then it means your figure doesn't include any normal maps AND you forgot to add the empty normal map first. So the result is that the normal maps for each scar is getting applied to an transparent layer, thereby creating all sorts of weird things.
