stockings product leaves annoying border around the legs

When rendered there is sometimes a black line around the whole leg visible or sometimes an obvious gap

Is there a fix?

That is probably down to the stocking, in this case, not snugly conforming to the contors of the underlying figure. You might get a better fit if you diald down scale a little (even to having the stockings disappear inside he figure a little) and turn on/up collision detection. Some areas, such as the heel are notorious for this sort of thing,
