OK, it's super easy to set up a virtual machine on AWS (Amazon Web Sevices) or Azure. I see that Luxrender is toast, and IRAY needs expensive hardware, so...
I want to set up a render farm on AWS so I can render an animation WITHOUT dedicating 12 weeks of my personal PC to the task. Is there an alternate rendering engine like lux that I can use on a web platform that will render animations from Daz? Or am I dreaming?
If it can plug in to Daz and just upload all its files to the remote server that would be awesome (like lux render used to). Bottom line, There needs to be a high-end CPU-only renderer we can use to make a farm.

Just make sure you have some way of switching of the AWS when the render finishes or you'll be billed even if its stopped rendering.
Kind of like a cab with the meter on.
Best to try Jack's service.
The only other render engine I know is integrated with Daz Studio is Octane afaik.

I know the Reality plugin/system for DS/Poser is now open source, and while the current for-sale reality/lux pair in the store aren't the super-latest-greatest, they are probably both viable and AWS-able with pretty good PBR results, even if you run the older lux version that comes with it.
Jack's service looks interesting. Didn't know he was doing that - good link to save.

yeah AWS makes it super easy to activate/deactivate servers.
For the best render farm list try looking on rentrender.com . they have tons of render farms listed just look for the software icon to see if their render farms support the software your looking to use. Some of them will connect daz and cararra ,poser, other farms, do blender, autodesk and vue. some farms offer iray, vray, matel ray and cycles, and 3delight rendering prices vary so shop around https://rentrender.com/all-render-farms-list/
I personally like revuprender , you can render daz connecting by a virtual desk top app and you pay per core minute https://www.revuprender.com/pages/render, they will give you discounts for batch rendering , I used them a couple of times for large projects
