This product is nice but the boots don't fit G8 figures properly. It's the only product I have that is like this. I have lots of G2, G3 clothes that fit onto G8 figures just fine.
See picture.

Is there a way to get these boots to fit properly?
I used auto-fit dialog just like the clothes, but as you can see it's not looking good.

Does the outfit come with a boot pose? If so, are you applying that before or after the boots are on? Try zeroing the pose of the character's foot, the boots themselves, and both, and see if any of that solves the problem.
that is because shoes, especially those with heels do not work well with autofit, always been that way. Your best bet is to load each boot and then move it into position and then parent it to the foot instead of fitting it or use a boot made for G8
After.
Should I apply before?
What does it look like if you don't apply the pose?
It looks exactly as in the picture, disfigured, regardless of pose, zero pose, or autofit solutions.
Going to add the boots to the scene and then move them into place I guess. What a pain!
Thanks for the help.
In the attached imahe are those boots on a G8 female (Noemi)
Proces that I used:
- Load character and boots individually
- Change Scene ID of the boots to G8F
- Apply i13gf foot pose on character (not sure if that is needed)
- Fit boots to G8F
- Apply wanted pose
I've got some shoes made for G3M that do something similar if I use them on G8M I basically remodeled them in Blender and used Transfer Utility on the G8M. They look better than on G3M now, probably because they'd been made so the one shoe fits either foot. Not a good look.
It looks to me as if the boots are made to be used with the feet hidden or morphed, not posed. AutoFit's issue with shoes is mostly the way the weights are projected into the heels, when the heels are at an angle and so align along thir length with different parts of the feet - in this case AutoFit is preserving the relationship to the base mesh that the original figure had, as it is meant to. Try hiding the foot bones, and maybe the shin, of the figure (you could, of course, set it up as a GeoGraft).
A GeoGraft to hide parts of the anatomy? that is something I'd never have thought of but I know how to make a morph to shrink bits of the anatomy to invisible so that would be my first choice after hiding the foot. I remodelled those shoes mainly because they just looked bad, even on G3M. I'd like to learn to do GeoGrafts though. I'm sure SickleYield has tutorial. :)
Thanks for the feedback everyone. I will use some of the solutions later I'm sure. In the meantime I had to get this done so I just used FSMCDesigns suggestion, and just moved the boots in place, unparented, and then hid the feet.![smiley smiley](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/regular_smile.png)
Prob is that even parented to the figure, the boots don't move with different poses. So just stuck with the one pose and then moved them into place.
She actually looks great and I think the boots are wonderful. I gave her a gothy look.
I have many other wardrobe items for G3 with boots, and have never had this problem with a G8 figure before. So I guess I'm lucky this product is the only one that gave me trouble.
