Creating Shadow Maps sticking at 99%

Hi guys, like the title says, when I got to render, creating shadow maps sticks at 99%, every time. It's not a complex scene, either and it seems to happen on any scene. Right now all my scenes have is 1 character, clothes and lights. It worked fine yesterday, and I don't believe any changes have been made to my machine or the software. I also tried the beta and it's doing the same thing. Any ideas?

Hmm... not sure if it matters here or not but Deep Shadow Maps have a render error that is known in the render engine (built by another not DAZ 3D). Most users do not use DSM because the renders can have artifacts in the final render. I only use Ray Trace as shadows now.

I've seen it happen with no lights at all... and it literally just started today. I've rendered the same scenes one the same settings a day or two ago error free. I want to pull my hair out...EDIT: Now that I've disabled the deep shadow maps, it now hangs up on rendering my character... it renders my background image until it hits her. Then it stops.

I've found the real problem is with the scene file itself. Outside of the scene it works fine... problem solved I guess. EDIT... no I think it's a certain outfit it doesn't like...WTF!

Sorry you lost the Scene file but happy you can render. I lost a scene file myself not long ago. My fault, I put way to many items into one scene.

No I didnt lose the scene file... it was literally the outfit I used... I thought I tried this with another scene and it wasn't working but I guess I'm wrong.

how long are you waiting for when it hits the outfit? What are you render settings and computer specs and I can't see how "I’ve seen it happen with no lights at all" how shadow maps are stalling if there isn't any lights in the scene.
