mcasual scripts do not appear under the scripts menu in DS 4.12

I am trying to use mcausual's script mcjWrapABand on a genesis 8 female in daz studio 4.12 Pro. That script and others of his that I have downloaded recently do not appear under the scripts menu even though they are in "DAZ 3D Library\Scripts\mcasual". They do appear in the content library under that folder. Also the latest version of mjcCollider does appear under the create menu. But I've never actually seen it do anything -- when I try to run it per its instructions, it does nothing.

For mjcWrapABand, I have followed the instructions on https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts9/mcjwrapaband exactly (with one exception described below). When I try to execute the script by right clicking on it in the content library and selecting "load" I get a warning window that lists the steps that I am supposed to take. (And I did take them.) clicking on "OK dismisses that window but does not bring up the expected interface/

The only thing that differs from the instructions is that I cannot "launch" the script from the scripts menu item as it says to do.  So I suspect that it's not appearing under that menu is the problem.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

  • I got the script to work! I think that I did not have the plane selected; I was not following the instructions exactly.  It's excellent. Many thanks to mcasual!

Neverteless none of the scripts appear under the scripts menu. Anybody know why that might be?

  • you need to add any scripts you want there by right clicking the script and choosing create custom action

I had no scripts tab at all my new install on a new computer and was puzzled by this until it was pointed out this creates it

  • Thank you, Wendy. That solved the problem.
