Turning off all light

When I started with DAZ back in the middle of 2019 - I made a scene that was lit entirely with "Ghost Lights" and Emissive Shaders. When I had this problem back then the solution was simple: put in a spotlight and point it away from the scene and it worked fine.

Now I have opposite problem - i'm trying to position and work with a spotlight, but DS's work light(s) will no longer turn off. I know this is a topic that has been brought up before and I've read several threads and tried several solutions to no avail, so i'm unfortunately bringing it up again.

My example is a very simple scene:

- 3 Primatives, 1 Spotlight, 1 Camera

- Camera's headlamp is set to off. I don't think it's the headlamp though, because the light clearly comes from the right side of the frame.

- Render Settings: Auto Headlamp  is set to never.

Can anyone help?

Try looking at the Environment tab of the Render Settings, you may be getting light from there.

  • Solved! Thank you!

In the Environment tab of the Render Settings, set Environment Mode to Scene Only (was Dome and Scene) that elminated what must of been a Dome Light of some kind!

    Thanks for your help!
