Hi,
I have 2 gtx 1070 with sli bridge and an i9.
I read somewhere sli bridge is not necessary for rendering.
Is it right? Should it be removed?
Does a cpu (slow compared to gpus) hinder the gpus work and should be disabled?

You don't need sli. You don't need to remove it. just turn it off.
SLI isn't used for rendering, and should be disabled in the nVidia Control Panel for DS (assuming you want the physical link for other things).
thank you.

It probably depends on the exact system, but I thinkmost people who have tested have found that trying to have the CPU both manage the GPU and also render itself makes he process slower than using the GPU alone.
I think the only examples where it didn't was people with threadrippers with very large numbers of threads.
