There are no presets to apply them, it is simply a set of bitmaps that you can use to texture any surface, but you have to add them manually to, e.g., the Diffuse channel of a 3DL shader, or the Base channel of an Iray shader. The files themselves won't show anywhere in DAZ Studio, you will have to open a file explorer to see them. You can use drag and drop to put them in the shader channels.
Thanks for explaining that, NorthOf45.
The Install Manager had downloawded those texture .jpg's into a folder in my Daz Library called "General".
So I moved them all to another folder where I prefer to keep such things.
But I am curious what you mean by dragging and dropping them into the shader channels. I don't know what a "shader channel" is.
All surfaces are textured with a shader of some sort, either DAZ Default 3DL, or Iray Uber, or some fancy custom shader. You can see the shader channels on the Surfaces tab when an item is selected in the Scene tab or Viewport. The sliders are loosely referred to as channels, but really a channel is a group of related dials that control a particular aspect, like Diffuse, Specularity, Bump, Reflection, etc. Usually there is one (or more) in that group that can use a bitmap as a source, and that's what you want to set.
This product has only the colored bitmaps with the plaid, so there is only that one file to place in either the Diffuse Color (for 3DL shaders) or the Base Color (for Iray Shaders). You can change the bitmap used by clicking the down arrow at the left of one of the parameter dials, and select Browse... from the command list. If there was already an image used, it will go to the same folder. If it was blank, it will go to the last folder used, which could be annoying to navigate around to the one you want. I find it easier to keep a file explorer window open with the source image's folder, and just drag and drop the image I want into the channel where I want it.
