AMD Renderer

Since there are more and more AMD components in the computers, it would be interesting to implant an AMD render engine into the DAZ Studio.

  • The SDK offers the tools if someone wants to do that.

  • This has been discussed before but we need a patreon page and someone willing to do the work.

Two things though, their SDK manual is non existent (under construction) and you need to register as a commercial entity at some point, which means that even when it's finished Daz management has to greenlight it / buy the license.

Just in case you weren't aware, if you really want to, there's an AMD Prorender plugin in Blender.

So current workaround would be to import your Daz scene into Blender then render using AMD Prorender.

You may want to check that if you are interested in taking on the project. There have been free plug-ins, as well as commercial plug-ins (Reality, Octane) released through other channels.
