Not a big fan of the HD products I bought V6 and M6 HD but didn't think it added much unless you were doing real close up renders, But I saw your video on youtube a couple of weeks ago and awaited this, as I think you hit the nail on the head on why HD is a good thing if done in a way that it shows even when you haven't got the camera rammed into someones face..lol

Great Job Smay.... looking forward to whatever else you have in the HD works.

    Steve.

This is pretty much the opposite of my style, (generally I render rather fleshy females). I watched the youtube clip and had to buy it anyway. the attention to detail is amazing. It is also the best use of the HD technology I have seen. It's the tiny details that got me, like the way the wrinkles on the knuckles un-crease when the finger bends. It's not just the HD when the arms bend against each other they flatten out as if actual flesh were interacting. Basically, this is the best made product I have ever seen, so I felt the need to go into raptures about it.

ok sorry if i ask again, but i want to know, before buy it, , but the "muscles bend " work on other shapes? Like work on M6 or Teen? (without Boris morphs of course)

No, correctors work only with "Boris Body" or "Boris Body HD". Unable to make high-quality and at the same time universal correctors.

OK, my turn to ask a question.... While I LOVE all the detail there are parts of the body I'd like to see proportioned a bit differently. Will mixing in other morphs mess up your correctors or will they work or mostly work? I'm not talking about completely reshaping him just a few tweaks here and there....

    Thanks

And along the same lines as RAMWolff's question, what happens if I only dial Boris in part way, combined with M6 or Basic Male?

Of course you can mix Boris with other morphs. Behavior JCM-correctors difficult to predict in this case. But correctors will work in the ratio relevant the percentage used morph "Boris".

    Bought him!

    Haven't used him yet.

What sold me were those hands, and then the good-looking bends. Not that he's not a great-looking character in himself.

I was quite surprised when I used the Martian skins, they work really well on Boris.

OK, I'll buy the product then. Looks very good. As I mentioned in a much earlier post I really need a muscular build that I can set up and render shots of so I can finally get some good back end shots. I can't seem to find many models out on the web that have a strong build to use as references for my work I'm doing in ZBrush and it's annoying as hell! So thanks for your good work!

I don't like Genesis 2 figures at all. But I'm a big fan of Smay's detailed work and HD (when it IS noticeable and useful, like in this case).
DAZ Studio 4 render. No postwork, except tonal adjustment and butt censor.

That image left me speechless. It just shows me how much more I have to learn before I can produce renders of that quality. Definitely an inspiration to me.

Yes ... that is what Hellboy's renders are doing to me too.
    Talk about inspiration!

    Thank you!
I tried a lot of lighting options. I finished with the most simple solution: A linear point light. I just learned how they work with this image. I think I will be using them a lot more from now on.
Texture is M5´s Phillip with a custom shader. :)

Thanks Kerya too. But 99% of the image is the character. A very good example of what HD characters should be like in my opinion.

Oh ... and light, pose and composition are 1%?
    I don't believe you.

This is easily the best addition to the male figure in years. You can use it on thinner characters aswell by just dialing it in slightly and its very versatile. Tried it with some very different morphs and textures and just the nice muscle squashing and details on the hands and around all the crevices... hats off to you smay. You absolutely nailed this one.

Now I would love a female hd version with a similar attention to detail ;)

Stalker Girl HD would be a great addition to GF2, it also means that I won't have to use GENX. Boris is stunning, Your attention to detail is what always brings me to your store.

I wonder if Smay based his excellent work on a real Boris - Boris de Pfeffel Johnson, the mayor of London and, some would say, a potential Prime Minister . The basic head shape is quite similar if somewhat more angular and all it would need is a little softening of the features and the trademark blond hair to produce a clone of this English politician. This would be considerably more scary than any Russian mafia enforcer.Boris Johnson

This one took a while to finish, but I really like the detail you can get on the figure. I almost passed on the last few HD figures, but I'm glad I bought this one!

It's really a wonderful addition to the G2M morph pool. I can only agree that this is what I would call "HD". I wish I could do this with my characters! :)

Full (mature) image is in my DeviantArt gallery. http://jepegraphics.deviantart.com/
    Those hands are incredible.

Deer Loward, Hellboy! That is a true work of art. So simple and so beautiful.

You should make a poster of that and sell it.

I'm putting together a ticket now, but I found an issue in one of the JCMs for the left arm. When using a front bent arm pose with the left arm, the JCM JCMBorisLFArmFrntHD3 is set regardless of whether you are using Boris or not. If you see the mesh looking weird when bending that arm, just search for the JCM, turn off the limits for it then set the value to 0. That should allow you to manually turn off the morph.
