Object from daz to blender

I export cup to blender

I tried to fill the cup with water, but I don't know why, the blender cannot see the cup. I created the domain, set the cup as  obstacle  on, added the sphere as water. However, when I turn on the simulations, water flows through the cup as if it wasn't there.

What am I doing wrong ? Please, i realy need that.

Of course, the cup is just an example, every object I export from daz to blender and try to splash it, works the same.

But if you create the object directly in Blender, it can hold the water?

Yes, that works well, Maybe wrong format? I send  as a obj file

That should be fine, maybe the import options?

I'll give it a try myself and play with some options.

I have not tried this kind of simulation before though so it might take me a day to get the time to figure it out and try.

Ok, I have tried my hand at a few fluid simulations now.

There is indeed an issue, no idea how to fix it.

If I selected shell or both as the type of obstacle for the Daz imported object it worked, but it kind of retains some fluid on it's outside as well.

As volume I guess it doesn't recognize what is the inside of the shape somehow.

I played with the import in Blender and it isn't from there, maybe it is indeed from the export from Daz but I don't have enough experience there to know what to adjust.

Maybe the normals are flipped in the wrong or random directions? Try checking normals in Blender.

I don't where is that option, but bouth and shell for obstacle works  pretty good, not perfect but better than nothing. Once again thanks for help!!

    Good you got something working!

Here you can check normals :
