Where is the Lighting Model option under surface?

I made a new scene. I'm using IRAY.
I create a new plane primitive.
I apply Create Advanced Iray Node Properties from the Utilities menu to the plane.
I click the plane and click Enable Iray Matte to on.
I hide and show the plane to refresh it.
... now when I go to surfaces, I don't see the option Lighting Model?? This is so weird. How do I gain access to the Lighting Model option on a surface?

The Lighting Model was an option in the Daz Default Shader (for 3Delight), it swtched the code used to handle specularity. It isn't found in any other sahders for 3Delight and isn't used in Iray.
Ahh I see. There's a technique where you can create a shadow catcher, but without this option, I can't create a shadow catcher anymore. The ground feature of the environment is nice, but it only receives shadows from a distant light or hdri light, not a point or spot light. Looks like DAZ downgraded DAZ in this regard since we technically lost a feature.
An Iray shadow catcher shouldn't require the use of a 3Delight shader (unless it's using the conversion process from 3Delight to Iray as a quick way to set several properties). I just tested and - even without the hide and rsshow step - the process from your first post gave me a working shadow catcher with spotlights (most of which had their shape set to discs, though I can't imagine that matters). Does you plane get shadows from the lights as a basic object, without the advanced node properties?
I'm going to respond to you over on my other post: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/384096/i-can-t-get-a-distant-or-point-light-to-cast-a-shadow-on-a-scene-only-ground#latest
Could you please respond there eventually when I do so? I'm going to show you exactly what problem I'm having.
It's vital that I get a Point Light to cast shadows on the ground drawn by the Environment or a completely invisible plane.
