Run DS script from another program?

Is it possible to start/run a script which does something in DS from another (external) program?

OK, question is then if it can be done using QT script or you need the SDK (C++) ?  Maybe someone else knows.

  • Assuming DS is the default application for handling .dsa/.dsb/.dse files, and that the application in question can tell the OS to open  a fiel using the default application, then yes.

Well the script has to be run while DS is already running, is that possible?  If there are several instances of DS running I guess an ID for identifying the target instance is also needed.

Depends on the version. With the new beta version then instancing of DS is more tightly controlled and yes, the script would open in the default (running) instance unless the invoking script took steps (special command line) to do otherwise.

    OK, that sounds good. Thanks!
