Why is my content Library is not in Alphabetical order?

The answer to this question may sound simple...refresh the library and everything should sort itself out properly.

However I have a problem at the moment that might actually be Windows related.
Here goes...

I have two laptops, one with Windows 7 64 bit and the other with Windows 8 64bit.
All my content for Daz Studio is on a portable hard drive so I can swap between lap tops and do not need to install the content twice.

When I originally had two Window 7 laptops the library behaved itself - new items did not appear without a refresh.
However when I got the Windows 8 laptop it showed the library all mixed up so I refreshed it and everything appeared in order.

Now when I plug the hard drive into the Windows 7 computer the library appears in reverse order to the folder last accessed. If I refresh it nothing happens.
The refresh still works on the Windows 8 laptop. I'm sure somewhere there is a hidden file preventing the Windows 7 laptop refreshing the library. This file could be in DS or it might be a hidden windows file...

Any ideas?

This is not a serious problem but it is kinda irritating not being able to sort the library on one laptop.

    My guess:
Windows...and the ini file that controls the way everything is viewed (desktop.ini). I'm guessing that Win7 doesn't particularly like the Win8 version.
