Can you split things across Daz Libraries?

I'm running short of space on my C drive and the largest thing on it is my Daz library. I'm thinking of creating another library on a different drive. The easiset way to move stuff would be to take folders from one library and move them to another one, but then I'd have content in one library trying to use files in the data and runtime directories in a different library. Does this work or would I have to track down all files that the items use and move those as well?

You can have only one content directory where you install with Connect.

For content installed via DIM or manually you can have as many as you want, and as long as all content directories are registered properly in DS there should be zero problems to have content in library A use data or texture files located in library B, as DS works with relative paths.

you can move the whole already library to another letter drive,,
just "copy" and set the path content libray,,

once you do that remove previous path and try it

if all work good, delete the "C:" library

if you lost some part in smart content, just re import metadata,
all installed products metadata infos are find in "your library/support/**** dsx files

Thank you for that information, I'll give it a try. I use DIM for installing. I can switch this to a new library, the problem might come with updates. I think that DIM uses it's own database to decide what needs updating but I don't know if it remembers where it installed the original. I might end up with stuff installed in two places unless I keep track of where everything is and switch the DIM library for some updates.

Moving the entire library is not an option right now. I'm moving stuff around to clear some space on one of my PC's internal drives but I haven't got anything with enough free space to take the entire library. Getting a new drive dedicated to just the Daz library would probably be a good long term plan though.
