Smart content/cms will not show installed content

I am trying to play with DS but smart content/cms will not start since last reboot.  I think I see it running in the task manager.  I have been changing the port number with no luck.  I did not edit out the user name Vroto because that is not my real name but the name of a turtle I used to have long time ago.

I added a screenshot of the smart content showing no installed content.

So you are getting the alert about being unable to connect to PostgreSQL when you start DS, and you can see postgresql processes in Task Manager?

yes that is what is happening.

What securty software are you running? Have you restored files from a back up, or copied them from another machine, since the last time PostgreSQL was connecting correctly?

I had that problem just a few days ago, and it wasn't until I changed the actual Path in  Edit - Preferences - CMS Settings that I got it to work... however, that in turn forced me to reinstall all of my content :/ The odd thing is that the cms stopped working without anything at all having changed. I had used studio just an hour earlier, had taken a paus to make some food and came back to start the program and cms didn't work. No updates of anything, so no idea why it stopped working.

The old path I had was...C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\cms

and the new path... C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\cms\ContentCluster

I just clicked browse and found the Content Cluster in the folder I ended up in, and clicked it. Now there is a new content cluster within that map, so I am kinda figuring that one isn't supposed to do so, but that was the only thing that worked for me *shrugs* perhaps I should have simply re installed the whole program instead lol

That does sound like a permissions problem of some kind, creating the new folder (with your permissions) allowed the system to rebuild the files with the correct eprmissions. Doesn't, of course, expalin why it happened in the first place.

I had my computer in the back of my ride's van over the weekend so was unable to figure out what is going on.  I got it back now.

I somehow got smart content to start but it does not show any installed content.  Everything is shown as not installed.  I am currently on my iPad not my laptop.  It might be doing something to figure out what is already installed.

I see installed content in the content section but nothing is shown as installed in smart content.

When I got my cms to work, I had to re-installed everything. As I only use smart content that was a tad bit annoying, I wasn't lucky enough to have anything (other than stuff bought elsewhere and such) in the content library, so it took a while to be able to make scenes again :)

I'm having the same problem, too.  I'm on an iMac that's about a month old.

I have two screen shots, one showing the error message.  The other shows that I have Postgre installed on my iMac.

Very frustrating.

Probably should have not done it on battery power.  I need to find an outlet soon or put my computer to sleep.

Have you checked folder permissions for the Content Cluster folder - see Daz Studio>Preferences>CMS Settings tab for its location.

I got the smart content to show the content installed, but now having difficulty loading the content.  Right now trying to load the Centaur 8 female figure with no luck and no error codes or messages.  The only problem is that DS is not responding and I am not getting my figure.

I got Centaur 8 female to load but now the smart content is not showing anything.  Probably because I had to hibernate my computer before going to work this morning.

I am having problems again with smart content.  I loaded up G8F.  I added some pants to her.  I went to find a top for her to wear and now the smart content is not showing anything. It seems to get stuck in filtering.
