Mac Catalina

Anyone get Daz working right on Catalina?

Just got a new MacBook Pro. Used Migration Assistant. Copied all my content from one external drive to one that uses USB-C/Thunderbolt 3. Took 7 hours for that, BTW. Moved the external to my new MBP, Daz complains about postgresSql. I use the menu to stop then start CMS. I see my content, but I also see a lot of icons that are named ".[ContentName]" OK, so uninstall postgres, reinstall postgres...

Yeah, DIM hangs for a *long* time trying to uninstall. Eventually have to Force Quit. Not sure DIM will quit normally at all. Try to uninstall Daz, same thing -- DIM  hangs, have to Force Quit.

Not only that, but I thought, "Hey, maybe I need to reboot." Now my system doesn't recognize my external hard drive with my content, *that I spent 7 hours copying*. I am going to be suprememly pissed if Catalina bricked a brand new external HDD on one reboot.

So yeah, did anyone get Daz working on Catalina?

Catalina requires the Beta version of Daz Studio. It has some fixes to work around changes Apple made in Catalina.

    Thanks for the answer.

Turns out I didn't like Catalina at all, so I just returned the MacBook Pro and ordered a Win10 laptop instead. Going back to Windows. At least I can use iRay with this one.
