I just opened up DIM after manually downloading over 20 files and found over 1700 items had been uninstalled.  What the heck happened there?

DIM doesn't uninstall items unless you tell it to, and can't do it while it's closed. More likely it doesn't display the list of installed files properly for some reason.

Can you look in DIM settings for where the DIM manifest files are stored? (They're what tells DIM what is installed). If you look in that folder, are the manifest files there?

  • I double checked DIM and notice that, yes, it didn't uninstall the files. Instead, it listed just about all the files under the Download tab, ready to be downloaded. So, I started the download and it stopped after a few hundred files because it lost connection with DAZ.  I just tried to open Daz 4.12 and it errored out saying it couldn't log-in, find the site, or whatever. It opened up and all of my files are gone. Not even listed, just disappeared, even though they are really there, i just can't see them. I love it when a program like Daz acts up when the staff is off. Gotta wait until they get back in to correct the problem.

  • Are they missign in the Content Library under Daz Studio Formats/Poser Formats? That would idicate a pathing issue, as does the DIM problem. Check that your drive letters (if you are a Windows user) have not chnaged for some reason.

  • Everything is there. I don't know what happened but one time when I started DIM just about all of the items I've purchased was in the list for Ready To Download. They were also listed under the Installed tab. I forgot to mention but when I first opened DIM I got some kind of warning screen saying Daz needed several files to operate. That is what made me believe it had uninstalled everything when I saw that list. But when I opened DIM last night the Download list only had the things I had purchased yesterday. Go figure.
