How do you add new UV layouts to an existing figure or object?

How do you add new UV layouts to an existing figure or object in that drop down menu?

I noticed under surface --> geometry --> there's a uv set drop down box. How do you add a new UV layout there? I'm guessing you have to make the new UV map on the OBJ, then somehow import the obj into that UV Set dropdown menu somehow? Can someone tell me how this new UV set import process works? Thanks.

  • After you have changed the UVs for the object in a modeller of some sort, and then saved the object, you import the new UV Set via Edit > Object (or Figure) > Geometry > Load UV Set...  You should then be able to see the new UVs in the Surfaces tab UV Set menu.  Then you save via File > Save As > Support Asset > UV Asset(s)...
