How does DazConnect work?

I am wondering how DAZ Connect works?  Does DAZ Connect only access the files through the inventory online, assuming you purchased the items?

Reason I ask this is because I am wondernig if DAZ Connect is a better way to add inventory items, since adding items to a folder on a hard drive can add unnecessary file space?

    Connect downloads the content to our computer.  There is some confusion about this probably due to the "Cloud" folder name that the content is installed to.  Connect cannot install some types of content and is entirely dependent on CMS and its database so I never use it.

    Poorly imo.

    ... But I don't like it.

    You can add just the files that load whatever you want, then delete them when no longer required. I do that in a custom (one of many) folder.

    Hi, I use only Daz Connect because I find it much faster than the Install Manager. You can see all your products directly in DAZ (in gray if not installed, or colored if installed). You double click it and it goes to your library.

    Some scripts must be installed the other way, such as some very old products.
