I try to add a diffuse oveylay for make-up and it doesn't work. I load a make-up png map in diffuse overlay weight and set it at 1, I load the same map in diffuse overlay color. This is what I get.

    Yes

  • Try using separate, non-transparent images for the strength and the colour.

On the Diffuse Overlay Weight left click on your texture to open a menu showing all textures in the scene, third option from the top will say "Image Editor", click on it. In the new window that opens you should only have to change two settings, Gamma to 0.00 and Grayscale From to Alpha.

Not something I can claim as my own, Vicky 8's makeup is all done this way, couldn't figure out how her's worked and mine didn't, I clicked on the Image Editor by mistake and found the answer LOL.
