Unwanted Renders: Do They Still Exist on the Hard Drive?

You do a render, don't like it so you don't save it. Does that render still exist as a file somewhere on the hard drive? I need to clear up some disk space. Thanks

It is kept for the esession, and can be accessed through the Render Album pane, but it will be cleared after the session ends (or on relaunch following a crash)
