Hello!

High on some user`s wishlist, here`s a preview for for my next release, The FM Elite Shoe Box HD.

It`s an extremely versatile item, a must have in every runtime.
For instance you can scale it, to fit the big feet. Or rotate it, to add some randomness to your scenes.
You can even hide it, to achieve that minimalistic empty shelf look!

Best of all, for a very limited amount of time you can get it at a steep 100% discount, in other terms, for free!
Don`t hesitate and get it right here:
Link: FM Elite Shoe Box HD

Enjoy! ;)

Thank you for the shoe box and, of course, the sky sphere.

I'm sure they will both work well :)

Awesome. A place to keep my 3D pencils and rulers, and circle graphs, just like my physical ones. :-)

Pfew, I started to think the sky was disguised too well.
Cheers JimmyC for being first to find it. ;)
I hope the stuff is useful for you guys, let me know if there`s any probs with it.

Bah. Probably only works with Genesis 2 shoes, and you need a separate box for male shoes and female.

Oh, for the good old Genesis 1 days.

What do you give a man who's got everything?
A box to put it in ;)

    lol x4
Sorry Wiz for forgetting to add the proper compatibility statement, I`ll do better next time.

It seems much and more can be said about shoe boxes. I hope they make for incredibly impressive renders too. =)

Thanks for the box and skysphere, Flipmode. Gee, you were just asked for a shoebox yesterday, wasn't it? That's a fast response! I wish it opened so I could put shoes inside (Hint Hint) if you have any more spare time, but don't think I am ungrateful. It is great. I really like the indent in the side for the hand hold.

Will you ever sell more clothes? I have your jeans and tanks and undershirts, and they are great. I'd like to see more clothing of that quality in the store.

I chased you to the top of this mountain. Now hand over that shoebox!
No way! You can have the shoes, but this box is MINE!

Thanks for the render barbult, didn`t think anyone would really use the box. =) (lol @ the story)
Well, if we`re honest I was asked for a jungle ... ;) But when someone posted "FM Shoe Box" in bold letters on that thread it looked so rediculous I wanted to make a promo image for it. So it`s really lazy work, initially only ment for my own use. I just added it to the sky-sphere last second.

Clothing...gah. I have a half finished set on my HD since half a year but couldn`t get myself to get it done.
One side of my brain says yes, the other says no. :/

    Nice!
Tell me, tell me - how did you open the box? Did you use two boxes with hidden polygons, or is there some easy way I overlooked.

By all means, that box was not to be opened. ... Clearly Pandora`s box in disguise.

Great image & idea Cypher ...and I like her jeans (shame on me for saying).
And I have indeed no clue how you opened it, if you did it right in DS/P.

Heh! Now we need a pair of shoes named 'Pandora's Hope'...

    How I opened Pandora's Shoebox
@barbult pretty much nailed it. What I did was to bring up the polygon group editor, select the bottom face under the box. I expanded the selection a few times until it wrapped up and took in the sides of the box. I created a Surface from the selection named 'Box', inverted the selection, created a surface from THAT selection, named it 'Lid'. I copied the default surface it came with and pasted it to Box and Lid, so it was properly textured.

Then I saved that as a Prop Asset, and merged it back into the scene, thus duplicating it in place. I rotated and translated the duplicate a bit, hid the Box part of the second, and hid the Lid part of the original. Et voilà.

tl;dr - I have no idea how you actually rig the thing, so I took the easy way out. :)

Holy **** @ opening the box. It would probably have been less work to build a new one :/

    @ Kerya
I feel well thanked for....you`re welcome & thanks back ;)

In Carrara it was just a matter of selecting the lid cut/paste then putting into position.. takes about 30 seconds

    Thanks for the freebie ;-)
