I just wanted to thank you personally for the Fiends Forever line. My daughter is 12 and was spending all her money on Monster High dolls. She was flat broke so when these came out I bought her the bundle. You know what she was doing with it? She was trying to layer two hair styles to get fringe on the hair. I kept telling her she needed to find a hairstyle she wanted and save up for it. Today I saw the Long Fringe Hair, it is everything she wanted and more because the extra textures will work on it! Thank you so much for working on this line of characters. I am going to wait to purchase the Bloodile Swan until she has seen it at least, but no need to wait on the hair! I snatched that right up.
I have had as much or more fun with these products myself. You see, when I buy something for my daughter, I end up playing with it while she is at school. I tell myself I want to do fantasy art, and I am suppose to look for products for myself like that. However, I have so much more fun finding things for my daughter and working out how to make textures and things for her. The truth is, I enjoy doing things for others the most and I learn and push myself to learn more when I plan on doing it for someone else to enjoy. While my 12 year may end up with the coolest toys, I am learning new things and coming up with projects to try to entice her into 3d more. I hope that she also develops a few skills of her own. Its so great when she asks, "How do you...." and I can help. I hope others like these dolls and show these things to their kids. When she is having a teen moment and telling me I don't love her I am able to say, "Are you kidding? Look what I have gotten you and done for you!!!" Don't rat me out and tell her I'm having a blast with all of it myself!

Ah! Reminds me of when our four boys were that age, and electric trains!
That was 40 years ago, and still wonderful to remember. But as regards your "are you kidding?" answer...
Sorry, ... doesn't work with young teens, That only comes AFTER they grow a bit more.
But THEN!... It's all very well worth the time you spent with them.
    Enjoy this time,

Oh Yeah, and HAPPY St PATRICKS Day everyone!

Yeah, my other daughter is gamer girl. I can't get her into anything artsy. But my 12 year old will try everything artsy. She loved the hair. But while she was trying to make her other hair have fringe she learned to recolor a texture in gimp and load it up in Daz Studio. I love showing her things and watching her play with all the artsy stuff I can throw at her. I spoil her a little because I wanted all kinds of art stuff as a kid and the money was not there for it. I love that Daz3d has so many things that are so kid friendly. I prefer to do my art with a computer these days. I collected dolls when I was younger too. Genesis is like having the doll that beats all dolls, you can make hundreds of dolls with the morphs. I didn't have anything for the G2F yet. The Fiends Forever starter bundle had everything she needed to make doll after doll. I think as she works with it more, she'll discover just how much she can do with morphs and textures. And the child in me still loves a doll. Can't help it. Won't even try.

My daughter collects the Monster High Dolls as well. She loves the Fiends. I snatched the bundle right up when it first came out. They are cute and fun to play with. Plus it keeps my daughter busy as well.

Thank you so much for this thread, it really made me happy to read all of this! I'm glad this keeps everyone of you and even those little ones creative, isn't that what we all want? :) I hope you will have lots of more fun with these fiends.

    Thank you :)

    OOT,

I'm a middle-aged guy which probably explains why I haven't yet made friends with your fiends. I am, however, a huge fan of your "styles" textures, especially the "royal styles" textures for the various historical gowns both here and at Renderosity. There's at least one gown that I bought solely so that I could use your textures on it.

I've seen far too many textures which are all colour and pattern but have no texture in the true sense of the word. Your stuff is an exception. You can see the weave of the cloth in the textures.

Long may you continue your excellent work.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

    Greetings,
Random note, http://www.daz3d.com/filosofy-hair (which I picked up this weekend) is gorgeous. It transferred over to G2F super-easily, and looks absolutely stellar.

I just dropped into this thread because I wanted someplace to be able to note that this has joined the ranks of my favorite hairs now, so thanks OOT!

Oh, yeah. Love the fiends and all of the cool hairs coming out for them. Hopefully, they'll get some fiendish boyfriends with some fiendishly cool hair styles. :)
