Key Frames! Argh @&%!

Whenever I create a new keyframe, all the old keyframes change to match the newest keyframe. For instance. I create a keyframe in the defualt pose, then go to frame thirty and apply a pose. I create a new keyframe at 30 and then go back to 0 and my figure is still in the pose. It does not return to the default pose. So my entire timeline takes on what ever the last key frame was. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

Not without seeing some images, however,
With figure loaded at default position, T or A default pose, "0" on the timeline, create a Key.
Then move the scrubber to another position, say 30, and apply the pose. Using the scrubber drag it back to 0 ... figure goes back to default position. I just did all this and it worked fine.
That is the exact same process I use and yet when I drag the slider back to 0, the figure stays in the frame 30 pose. I can't for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong.
I'll try to get some pictures of it to share. Maybe somebody will see where I'm messing things up. lol.
