postgresql cms problem mac os 10.12.6 Daz Studio 4.12

Hi there,

when I open Daz Studio I get this message:

a valid postgresql cms connection could not be established

I'm running on mac os sierra 10.12.6

I have already read through various similar posts but couldn't solve the problem.

Have you checked the log file from postgres?
Found at: ~/Application Support/Daz 3D/cms/Content Cluster/dblog.txt

The folder is actually empty.

I have found a log.txt file in the library

It says:

Cannot locate dzInstall.ini
Starting CMS...
Error connecting to CMS. Cannot be started by client.
Unable to login customer during authentication.

I've tried changing the Ipv6 setting.

I have also tried changing the cms port settings in Daz studio and de/reinstalling Postgre and Daz Studio.

How did you install DS and PostgreSQL - through DIM or stand-alone?

The empty folder does sound like permission issues.

Both through DIM

I have the permission issue theory as well because the cms port changes always reset when I open up daz Studio again.
