Smartcontent gone after move of directories

Hi all.

Hope some of you can help, as I have tried everything in my limited knowledge, and have been searching forums for hours for easy to follow steps on how to move directories when HDD is full.

I, more or less, followed the steps in this link (changed some of the paths), but my content still wont show in smart content. It is in the content library, but not smart content. I have also tried to do a DB Maintanance and do a re-import of metadata, with not luck.

I have attached the overview of the paths set in Daz, and also the paths set in DIM before installation.

Please help, as it is so frustrating.

  • Please post a screen shot showing how they appear in the Content Library pane.

  • Okay, thank you. It is now attached

  • OK, the fles look right - but I don't think they were shwoing their categories (the content type tags at top-right) - I had to delete the image as you had a nude figure loaded, please crop to show just the Content Library pane.

  • Here you go

  • However, got a fraction of the Smart content to show, but far from all by re importing metadata.

But, some of it is situated weird places, Daz is taking forever to load the content and some of the parts that there were no problem for Daz to find before, it can't find.

Why is it so damn hard to have daz on one HDD and the content on another.. Does not make sence to me...

The CMS database isn't aware the content files were moved, so it's no longer showing in Smart Content.  If you still have the DIM installers on disk, I would have 1. Uninstalled with DIM, 2. Reinstall with DIM to the new HDD, 3. Add the new HDD content directory to Content Directory Manager in Daz Studio.

Actually the CMS uses relative paths for files in content directories, so as long as they are correctly placed within the content directory the directory itself can be moved (as long as DS is told where it is).
