Let me think - the down side of my account here being hacked. Possibly blowing my store credit on things I don't want? A denial of service attack on my credit card? (I already own most of the expensive items but I suppose multiple incorrect guesses on the CVV value would lock the card). Changing my account password or email address? All fixable, at some level of inconvenience.
The worst would be locking the credit card - that's a five-day fix for a new card.
AFAIC, 2FA isn't worth the effort on either end.
DAZ can implement 2FA as an optional feature. If you don't want/need it then you don't activate it. Those of us who are more security minded should have it at our disposal. It's a quite ubiquitous feature this days.
I don't get why everything has to be: "don't implement it because I don't like it" these days. This can be optional and if you don't like it then you don't activate it. Also, it trivial to implement. I know because I'm a programmer and I'm asked to implement it regularly on various projects.
I gather you haven't been here very long. Nothing here is "trivial" when it comes to anything to do with designing any of the webpages.
Why every website that requires a username and password doesn't have 2FA is beyond me.
It's the capital letters.
With all the poor habits from texting, people these days don't know how to use them.
I dont store credit card information online. Instead I buy myself a DAZ gift card when they are on sale and use that to make my purchases.
