Frustrating Alien eyes

Hi, I'm a little frustrated trying to fix a problem where the eyes turn out rendered dull when they should be bright and colourful... I've purchased "Fantastical Eyes for Genesis 3 Female(s)", basically I've loaded a Grey Alien with a more bright White grey alien eye from the eyes selection, then loaded a delightful very colourful and bright iris from "fantastical eyes"  - which then renders the eye greyish and dull. The white greyalien eye on its own renders nice and bright when used on its own... 

Wondering what you'd suggest, I've tried adjusting/ changing many of the parameters on the eyes, sclera, iris etc. but none seem to solve the issue of the eye turning out dark..

* I've managed to get the sclera rendered white using a reflection added called eddie, but the iris is still dark

Any help is very much appreiated

Hello!
Have you checked the materials on the eye moisture and cornea surfaces? Sometimes they can affect the overall rendering of the eyes. I tend to put the Daz Default Iray Water Thin shader on them when I get the eyes rendering dull. It can be found in Shader Presets/Iray/Daz Uber near the bottom.
