Hey all,
So I'm fast becoming one of those Daz users who is dang near possessed by the quest for photorealism in their human character renders (if there's a support group out there for people like me, please let me know. It might be time, haha). I've come across N..S. Anagenessis 2 - Revolution. It looks and sounds pretty impressive! However, I gather from the description that it's from the pre-Genesis 8 era of Daz. Can anybody tell me if it works on Gensis 8? And can I canvas opinions on whether this product is worth the price tag today (not a comment on the quality of the product, but just how far things have come since it's release)? It's March Madness after all, so the perfect time for a big spend, but I don't want to take the plunge without knowing more about the product.
Thanks so much to you all :)

I am an enormous fan of the product so I will give my own position. I think that it is a worthy addition to everyone's toolbox. Genesis 8 skins have greatly improved due to the addition of dual lobe so I find I don't use the product a whole lot on most of my purchases ( i think this because I am generally happy with the characters I buy so no need to modify). So why do I recommend it? Often, i will apply a Gen 3 skin to a G8 character and I find that the character can often look much better. There should be a succesor/improvement sooner or later that supports G8 (if you search Deviantart (and don't mind a touch of artful nudity), you should search for AS-Dimension-Z). it is a especially useful if you buy back catalog stuff. I thought i would show you a Genesis 1 non iray character that the product was used on:
It works fine, but it is kinda outdated. New character skins have a different shader setup now that didn't exist when it was released(I think, not 100%, but pretty sure the dual lobe shader came after, or it wasn't well known by vendors). One thing it's great for though, when you need to fit a few people in a scene's vram, and they are more of backround people than the main focus. It's lighter on texture map overhead.
i agree. I have never been a fan of Anagenessis 2, never got good results with it probably because i started using it late in the game when the shaders for G8 changed for the better
Awesome, thank you all for this feedback! Great to see different opinions :) All super helpful!
