Yeah from the Daz Store. I am trying to find that thread, but with no luck so far.
Morning. Bright sun on gleaming city towers painted fresh by days of rain, a row of fat pigeons on our fence preening and squawking, things are getting back ti normal here :)
A silly render I am doing is taking over an hour. It is at 84% done. I can see a major problem with it but I want to finish the render before fixing it.
Of course. They assume everyone loves facebook. :long:
Dana
Exactly. I won't go anywhere near social networking sites like Facebook and/or Twitter. For a business to make themselves "seen" by a greater audience, sure, but for an individual? I don't see it at all.
Speaking of which...
poke. lol.

...chilly here today but set for a couple days with 70+ temperatures.

I need to take a shower soon so I will look good for church tomorrow morning.
i don't understand what cyberpunk is, hoping the wiki can explain it.
shower is a fun place to practice singing. good acoustics :)
Think a cyberpunk character has to have been tricked, ripped off or somehow dudded by a dystopian big brother, like Neo in the Matrix before he wakes up, like Case in neuromancer who has been injured by his criminal partners, like Johnny Mnenomic whose storage circuits have been overloaded, like the Yakuza guy whose daughter needs a cure but still tries to cut Johnny's head off for the data :)
Digital fire is easy to make, difficult to master woes :x

it looks awfully violent too. no cyberpunk cupcake decorating.
was checking out the freebie render challenge cyberpunk theme. 10 freebies though. >.<</p>
reminds me i haven't rendered Kez in a while. or Koz
My pillow is calling my name, but I want to play on the computer with Poser and DS and also open Carrara.
I want to stay up till two am, but I probably should go to sleep soon.
Noon here and bright sun, would be hard to sleep :)
...one good way to do quick test renders is to set the Render process in Render Settings to "Progressive Render". What this does is allow you to see the entire scene at once as it renders. It will look very grainy at first but then improve in sharpness. This way you don't spend an hour (or more) waiting only to find an error in the scene setup, like say, a character or prop that is "floating" above the floor/ground or something in shadow that you want lit. Most often things like this are easy to spot a few minutes in tot the process.
Just like a normal render you can cancel the process at any time.

it is past ten pm here and I want to stay up all night but then that might make me cranky tomorrow.
late night snack attack :)
I want a cupcake, but I have none. I wonder what I can have instead.

That's the one thing I've always liked about Bryce. It gives you 2 options. One is a preview render of just one pass, and the final render is about 4 or possibly 5 passes, the last being the antialiasing pass.
As far as DS goes, one thing I learned while trying to test a scene with AO lighting. Someone suggested I change my render settings to much lower so that it wouldn't take as long. So I tried it, and the next render took about 12 minutes, as opposed to an hour in full render mode.

Reminds me I need to install Bryce. Or have I already downloaded and installed it?

...the other feature I liked was the "Spray Can" renderer which was a nice quick spot render tool
Saving a scene and rendering a scene is not the same thing. I thought I rendered the scene when all I did was save the scene.
Yeah just by a day or two.
A sneak preview then
REndering going slow for me for a change
A sneak preview then
Thank you very much!
