New install doesn't recognize old .duf files

I just installed Daz Studio 4.12 on a new computer (refurbished iMac). All of my old content libraries, models and scenes are on a removable drive. Now, Studio won't open any of the scene .DUF files on the remote drive, and when I save a scene to the folder, it will no longer open that scene either. The files are "grayed out". However, it does seem to read the content libraries on the removable drive.
Can I set my old "models" folder as the default instead of the one Daz installed? How can I get Studio to recognize the old files as valid?

Is the new mac using Catalina by chance? There are problems to open files when using the general release of DS under Catalina, you need to install the latest beta which includes fixes for that.
Thanks! It is Catalina. Where can I get the beta? I just installed whatever the one Install Manager had queued.
You need to "purchase" the beta first: https://www.daz3d.com/daz-studio-beta
After that you should be able to find it in DIM if you search for "public build". If you don't see it you may need to change you DIM settings so it shows public builds, it may not be enabled in the download filters.
Thanks, I think I've got it.
